This paper analyzes real-world vibe coding practices through qualitative study of developer workflows and videos. It highlights how developers rely on stochastic AI outputs and often treat debugging as probabilistic iteration. The study identifies different styles of vibe coding based on trust and expertise. It provides insights into the challenges of reliability and evaluation in AI-assisted development.
