These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Attendemia (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
About the Services
Attendemia is a social network for learners and researchers to share thoughts, leave reviews on papers and articles, follow people, and connect with others. Core features on the platform (including following, commenting, and the checkout process) are FREE forever. Paid tiers are available for advanced users and organizational workspaces to help cover operational costs.
Privacy, Communication, and Data Non-Exploitation Promise
Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. By using the Services, you agree to the Privacy Policy.
Because we respect your attention and schedule, we exclusively use email as our primary communication channel on a must-have basis to support our broader, global community. We are committed to your security and will never ask for sensitive personal information such as phone numbers, physical addresses, or government documentation.
Attendemia will never collect, harvest, or resell your contacts, reading history, or private notes. Furthermore, we explicitly promise never to use your personal data, private content, or usage history for AI training purposes. Your data belongs to you, and our platform respects that boundary.

External References: Attendemia is a platform for serious learners and researchers to communicate. All external content (e.g., papers, blogs, courses, tutorials) is referenced from public sources. We DO NOT own or host this external content, nor do we use it for AI training purposes.
Content Standards
- Post thoughtful, honest, and respectful contributions.
- Do not post confidential or personal data about others without permission.
- Do not post plagiarized material or infringe intellectual property rights.
Acceptable Use
- Do not post unlawful, harmful, or abusive content.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or misuse the Services.

Moderation and Enforcement

Attention Budget (attns) Policy
Attendemia uses an internal metric called "attns" (attentions) to facilitate the checkout process. This system is designed solely to help users manage their learning time and to verify readers (increasing the signal-to-noise ratio in comments). We DO NOT sell attns, nor can they be converted into real-world currency (dollars, euros, etc.). They are strictly a non-financial, functional tool for learning management.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you violate these Terms or if required to protect the safety and integrity of the platform. You may stop using the Services at any time.
Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account. Some content may remain visible if needed to preserve the integrity of discussion threads or to comply with legal obligations.
Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
