Current Agentic AI systems are constrained by the predefined set of tools provided by developers. We introduce AnyTool, a framework that grants agents the autonomy to dynamically generate, test, and refine their own Python-based API tools on the fly when confronting novel problems. By utilizing an isolated execution sandbox and a 'Self-Reflection' verification loop, the agent can scrape web documentation, write API wrappers, and debug the execution parameters without human intervention. Evaluations show AnyTool-equipped agents solve 58% more open-ended tasks than those limited to static tool libraries.
